HEATH MOTORS About Us

We are a family owned independent garage situated in the beautiful Chilterns village of Hyde Heath, just a couple miles from Amersham, Chesham and Great Missenden.

We celebrated our 25th year in business in 2008 although there has been a garage business on this site for over 50 years. We are an approved MOT Testing Station for Class 3 (three wheel vehicles and trikes) and Class 4 vehicles (car and lgv's) and undertake repairs and servicing on most makes of vehicle.

WHO IS WHO?

NICK WELLS - Nick is 53 and runs the family business having lived in the village almost all his life and resident there now. Attended the village Primary School (as did his 3 children) before attending Chesham High School. Helped in the running other family businesses in the village after leaving school, with the garage being purchased in 1983.
BEN WELLS - Nick's 26 year old son, Ben has spent his early working years in the tyre trade with SMC Tyres before managing the busy tyre bay at Mercedes dealer Hughes of Beaconsfield. Before joining the family business he then spent time working for one of the major wholesalers in the tyre industry which has been invaluable in developing the garage's growing tyre sales.
JANE WELLS - Jane is Nick's sister and runs the accounts department for the business.
BRUCE SMITH - Bruce is the senior mechanican at the garage and has been here forever. He worked for the previous owners, H Bromley & Co on leaving school and remained with when we purchased the garage premises - part of the fixtures and fittings and a highly experienced mechanic and an MOT Tester.
ROBERT SMITH - Rob is Bruce's son and has been working for us for over 4 years. Rob trained on a 5 year course with AUDI before joining us and is very knowledgeable on all VAG marques. Specialises in diagnostics at the garage having attended many courses and achieved numerous certificates of qualification. Also an MOT Tester.
JOHN ALLDER - 'Jet' has worked for us for more than 30 years. Experiencd enough to carry out many different roles in the workshop whether on servicing or repairs, he also carries out our vehicle recovery and transportation.
MATTHEW WOODGATE - Matt is 18 and joined us as a junior technician in October 2008 having achieved an NVQ in Car Mechanics following a 2 year course at East Berkshire College.
